Private/Public Partnership Model

Development of a private/public partnership model designed to bring community-based and county government resources together for the purpose of serving and empowering youth. A three-phase approach is taken to allow private and public partner agencies to adjust their operations to a new way of doing things. The model also focuses on best practices that are succeeding in overcoming the challenges that adversely affect teen-aged youth and their families. At the heart of this project is the concept of strength-based and peer-oriented programs that are intended to empower youth to participate actively in community life.

Managing Capital Campaigns

Creating and managing capital campaigns that run concurrent with annual fundraising programs. This campaign was a huge success. The goodwill already established by a part-time medical service operating in borrowed space was studied and stimulated into a grassroots outpouring of support that enabled a non-profit to raise more than a million dollars for a new home while raising a record number of dollars for on-going operations. The capital campaign was very focused, was used to cultivate support that was new to the clinic and most important, the capital campaign gave a small non-profit an opportunity to speak to important people and organizations who were very much unaware of the important contribution this non-profit made to the quality of community life.
